Food Processing Bearings
 
The food and beverage processing machinery provides the most challenge to the bearing units performance. KML bearing units have been designed specifically to deal with frequent washings, contaminants, exposure to cleaning agents and the constant temperature changes. The KML housing offers to the food and beverage industry a quality product that meets the performance requirements for materials used in food and beverage equipment. This specially designed housing along with the overall designed of the units are the keys to success of these bearings.KML now offers two types of mounted units to the food and beverage industry: standard composite units and thermoplastic units. The KML mounted composite housing resists corrosion from processing chemicalss and frequent washings.KML light weight mounted units has greater shock resistance than the typical cast iron. This unit is made of high-grade glass filled thermoplastic polyester. They are interchangeable with conventional cast iron housing. KML thermoplastic units are maintenance-free and have mechanical strength and stability. The smooth surfaces of these units are more hygenic than cast iron housing where the rough surface may harbor objectionable dirt, mold or bacteria.
  KML "CORROSION RESISTANT" Series
  • KML "CORROSION RESISTANT" Series consist of a thermoplastic housing euiped with a high quality Stainless Steel bearing insert (AISI 440C) pre-lubricated with FDA approved grease.
  • All housing include Stainless Steel sleeves for fixing bolts and Stainless Steel grease fitting.
  • This combination makes KML "CORROSION RESISTANT" Series perfect for all wash down applications such as food and beverage processing machinery.
  • An optional plastic end cover that snaps into a groove in the housing's bore is available. The end cover helps protect the bearing and prevent accidental contact with the end of the rotation shaft.

   KML Stainless Steel Ball Bearings
  • KML stainless steel bearings have FOODREX FG 1 food grade grease, which is FDA and HACCP approved.
  • The stainless steel grade is 440 C. These bearings are also available in 316 grade upon request.
  • These bearings are used in various applications where they are exposed to moisture, corrosive and abrasive conditions.
