Peak activity at the Schaeffler Schweinfurt location: more than 50 students from the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) have taken an in-depth look behind the scenes of the company. And at the MINT Taster Days for Girls, around 120 schoolgirls experienced technology to touch and try out.

Factory tour and workshops

On the college day, the students of the different faculties of the FHWS experienced a factory tour and got an insight into methods for efficient production processes. In German and English, Schaeffler experts informed about the application process and provided tips for successful job interviews. At Schaeffler Aerospace, a review of the running accuracy of a high-precision mechatronic storage system for computer tomographs was demonstrated.

Natural Science and Technical Taster Days for female students

During the autumn holidays, students from grades 8 to 12 were invited to get to know technical professions in cooperation with the FHWS. In Schaeffler's training center, the young women tried soldering, drilling, welding, milling or programming. Under the guidance of the Schaeffler trainees, they used various tools and were able to take home some of their own workpieces such as LED lights, bookends, note holders and much more as a souvenir.
