KML Alternator & Starter Bearings
KML has developed a full line of alternator & starter bearings, which adopt special materials and configurations to improve product performance and life:
* Long service life
KML alternator & starter bearings are made of high-purity quality chromium steel, to ensure bearings have a long service life.
* High rotational speed
KML alternator & starter bearings adopt a special cage, made of Reinforced Polyamide (also known as Reinforced Nylon) to keep KML alternator & starter bearings run more smoothly and noiselessly than those with a steel cage.
* High precision
KML alternator & starter bearings are produced according to a high-precision production standard.
Compressing dimensional tolerance is adopted to ensure that KML bearings are matched with shaft with superior rotational precision.
* Good enclosure
The light contact triple-lip seal constructs an optimal protection from contamination as well as grease leakage. Moreover, it gives due respect to low friction torque and high enclosure.
* High temperature resistance
There are two special rubber seals alternatively, which can maintain good performance at a high temperature up to 150℃ and 180℃ respectively.
High temperature resistant grease KOYODO Multemp ET-K or ESSO Polyrex-EM is used for KML alternator & starter bearings as per customers request and they are suitable for working at a temperature up to 180℃.
* Low vibration level
Based on above special cage, special seal construction, good lubrication and high precision, KML alternator & starter bearings can run at a high speed and a low vibration level.
KML alternator & starter bearings are more competitive than other alternator & starter bearing brands. It has built a good reputation among our OE customers. For more information or our free brochure, please contact us at info@kml-bearing.com or visit our website www.kml-bearing.com. |

Chinese Zodiac
Chinese Zodiac originated in the early Qin period (2000 B.C. to 221 B.C.), were simply touched upon in the books of various schools in ancient China, and were not fully recorded in detail until the Eastern Han Period (A.D.25 to A.D.220). It is a way used for dating the years and the time with the names of twelve different animals, similar to the Western Zodiac. Peoples views vary as to the selection of animals, but one of the explanations seems the most reasonable, i.e., believing that ancient people determined the twelve animal signs out of their fear and domestication of animals, for example, Dragon, Tiger, Snake and Rat etc. emerged due to peoples fear; and Boar, Ox, Rooster and Dog etc. were determined through domestication. Yet altogether, all the animals selected were closely linked with peoples life and had bearing upon peoples thinking, life and work.
Chinese zodiac is usually used together with the twelve earthly branches to reckon the years and the daily time. Compared with dull and dry heavenly stems and earthly branches, the Chinese zodiac is used in a more lively and vivid fashion, more acceptable to the vast number of common people. Many folk artistic creations of China are also based upon these signs, such as kirigami, ceramics and painting etc. Thus the twelve animal signs have become the carriers of peoples nice wishes.
It is also believed that the Chinese zodiac constitute the prototype of Chinas early astronomy. With the addition of and study over other schools, such as sociology, astrology and history, the system of Chinese zodiac has become more complete and gradually developed into a highly enchanting oriental culture.

What have we done, no one knows
The butterfly effect is a complicated matter, but it can be summarized as a simple theory that describes how some little, insignificant actions taken can cause dramatic changes in time. The textbook example is that when a butterfly flaps its wings in South America, it will lead to a hurricane in Europe. The funny example is when Homer Simpson squashes a mosquito in the past; and Ned Flanders rules the world at present. This brings us to the point where we want to consider what our acts cause.
Lately one of the most famous lakes in China, the Dong Ting Lake, was discovered to be infested with 2 billion rats. These rats werent a problem until they moved inland, where humans live. They moved because of the recent rise of the water level, forcing them to find a new home. Eventually this turned into a battle between locals and rats for habitat. Specialists said that this was due to human activities such as expansion of our farmland to the lakeside, breaking the food chain. Measures had to be taken immediately, to keep the number of rats down. Now, there is bounty for rats, and suddenly weasels, along with other rat-eaters become protected. This was part of the attempt to restore the imbalanced ecosystem in the hope that it is not too late.

That should be seen by all of us as a warning. Probably, as you are watching this, you would say that who could have known what would have happened, and that is precisely my point. Most of the time, we just dont realize what consequences our actions might cause, or how some harmless actions might turn out to have devastating outcomes.
So, how can we even think about being able to assess all the effects our actions might cause, especially when the nature is involved? It is beyond us to foresee what will happen, even when we do possess the knowledge to predict results provided that all factors are accounted for. So, from now on, think twice of what might happen before you pollute the environment. Who knows, it might backfire on us one day.

I am here for a decade
[Written by Dalton Liang, vice general manager of KML Powertrans Inc.]
Time flies. I have been working in KML for a decade!
It was Nov. 20 of 1997. I still clearly remember the date when I came to Guangzhou after 30 hours trip by train. I was surprised that the people in Guangzhou were still wearing short-sleeve shirts or T-shirts while it was snowing in my hometown when I left the railway station.
At that time, KML Bearings factory was located in Taishi Industrial Zone of Yuwotou. It was a newly developed industrial zone, where our factory remained surrounded by the rice paddy. Though I like rurality, I could not bear the crazy attack by batches of mosquitoes.
The year of 1997 was a milestone for both KML Bearings and me. After Hong Kong returned to China, KML established a branch in Guangzhou to extend her business. I was lucky to become one of her first employees in Mainland China, while my status changed from an employee of a state-owned enterprise to an employee of a HK-based company.
After hard working for a decade, KMLs sales turnover tripled. I became Deputy GM of KML Branch from a former ordinary salesman.
Looking back, we have experienced failures and frustrations, but more often successes. There were tears, but more happiness!
I like working here as there are lots of new things for me to explore. I like here as there are lots of opportunities to make friends with people from all around the world. I like here as KML is a big family, where there are my fellow colleagues and mentor-like boss.
I am planning for the next decade of KML. I am sure it will be more fruitful than the past one!

A creative tip for Environmental Protection
[Written by Lucy Wang, accounting department of KML Powertrans Inc.]
On September 17, 2007, I received an advocate from Daisy, representative of KML Group for Environmental Protection, of Start protecting the environment from the minor things. Thank you for your support and cooperation! Ever since then, I have been paying attention to the minor things around me, expecting to make my due contribution to fulfilling the advocate of environmental protection.
In daily work, I often noticed that the paper boxes holding A4 duplicating paper purchased by the company was cast off after the paper had been used up. This is very wasteful, so I wonder whether it is possible to remake the box into something useful. I thought hard and finally elaborately made a two-layered file tray in its rudimentary form. Isnt it quite lifelike? I could not wait to show my trophy to partners in the office. How proud and excited I was! Hence now Id like to show my petty work to everyone and share with you my joyance! |
