Rolling Bearing Failure of Fitting Surfaces

1. Fretting Corrosion
Characteristics:
Brown-black stains are normally appeared on the fitting surface, sometimes the brown scraps will be found in the bearing lubricant. The abrasion between matching faces (viz. the inner bore and outer surface), fatigue fracture of rolling parts (mainly referred as spindle) and the failure of original functions for sliding pedestal bearing (viz. between outer ring and seat hole) are all caused by fretting corrosions.
Causations:
Influenced by the outside forces, the interference clearance between the matching faces is too small, which will result in the microcosmic movements between the matching parts, but the ferrules will not slide;
Excitations formed between the matching faces;
Deformations of shaft journal and seat hole;
Micro-movements of ferrules which endured the cycle loads of the sliding pedestal bearing.
Remedial Measures:
Make the ferrules of sliding pedestal bearing endure the centralized loads as possible;
Adopt driving fit as possible;
Increase the hardness of the shaft and the bearing seat hole to reduce the deformation;
Coating treatment of the matching faces;
The ferrule dimensions maintain favorable stability even under high temperature;
Improve the roughness on the matching surfaces;
When necessary, improve and inspect the surface quality of matching faces.
2. Scratches or Sliding Abrasion
Characteristics:
Cold welding may happen on the surfaces of inner bore, exterior surfaces of outer ring and axial contacting surfaces; or shining contacting zone will appear on the smoother surfaces.
Decrease of pre-loading & increase of clearance caused by the abrasion of the surface and the matching face..
Causations:
The fitting between the ferrule and the shaft and the bearing seat hole is loosen, which will result in rotation under cycle loads; static unbalanced loads will also cause relative rotation
Improper axial positioning of bearing ferrule
Slow movements of sliding pedestal bearing
Remedial Measures:
The bearing ferrule should use driving fit as possible to avoid the relative movements between the matching faces.
Increase the area of axial positioning faces and ensure the steady of axial positioning
Make sure no water nor will other impurities enter the matching faces
Design the sliding pedestal correctly
3. Scratches on the end surface of bearing ring
Characteristics:
Axial scratches appear on the side faces of the bearing ring and seal
Causations:
The axial fixation of the bearing ring on the shaft and the bearing seat is not steady;
Clearance appears between the end surface and the matching parts, the impurities enter and cause the abrasion;
The matching is too loose;
Axial clearance is too large.

China's Economic Figures Show Further Growth
Chinese economic data released Friday reinforced the growing perception of an economy picking up steam, with retail sales and industrial production for the month of May coming in stronger than expected.
Industrial output climbed 8.9% in May, the National Bureau of Statistics said Friday. The result was above expectations for a 7.8% rise.
The more upbeat figures follow a fall of 26.4% in China's exports in May from a year earlier and an import decline of 25.2%, according to Statistics Bureau data released Thursday. Both figures marked their seventh-straight on-year decline.
While improving this month, China's industrial production growth data has been in contrast with expansion in the Purchasing Managers Index
China's May PMI of 53.1 represented a third-successive month of expansion in the manufacturing sector, managers will be cautiously optimistic in their outlook.
The Statistics Bureau also reported that retail sales were up 15.2% in May, compared to a 14.8% rise in April.

How wonderful Chinese pictographic character is! Each single character is originated from life, nature, containing philosophy of life. Next to the natural environment composed by five columns of colors is the metropolitan full of high-rises where those merry adults, children and pets live. However, the carbon dioxide produced by human beings themselves has beclouded the bright colors of our home, leaving only monotonous gray.
The theme poster distinctly signifies a thought-provoking meaning of "man and environment, mutual reliance in life, only cherish for the continuity".
